Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see whether there are differences in performance between conventional mutual funds with Islamic mutual funds as an investment anternatif solution. In this study, the sample used is a mutual fund product of PT. Mandiri Investment Management as one example of an alternative investment solution. By using the period January 2011 to January 2013 and the way Paired sample t-test for normal data obtained using α 0.05 then the result that there is no difference mixed mutual fund performance mutual fund investment alternatives then the solution can be done in a conventional mutual fund and Islamic mutual funds, fixed income funds are mutual funds performance difference then an alternative solution for Islamic investment funds and mutual funds are stock mutual funds then there are differences in the performance of an investment is alternative solution to conventional mutual funds, it happens as a result of more effective CV values to compare the risk of having a different rate of return.
