Abstract

Genarally financial statements are made to record and report all financial data. The financial statements are useful in providing information that can be used by various stakeholders to ensure their interests or needs. Although the financial statements have been proven to deliver tangible benefits, it is still not as much as it should. In Indonesia, the useage of the financial statements as resources are limited. Many businesses in Indonesia are doing their decision making based on a variety of other aspects that are not even effective in solving the problems. In addition, many investors are also have not been able to understand and utilize the financial statements as a way to ensure investment success. This paper seeks to use qualitative methods to illustrate the benefits of a financial statement analysis and the fact of its use in Indonesia. Additionally it also discuss about personal financial statement and analysis and its benefits for individuals. The financial analysis that is easy to understand would be a valuable source of information that can be one of the appropriate basis for decision making and accurate.
