Abstract
Today young generation are not interested in traditional art. One of the outcome is traditional music instruments are not attractive anymore. This project is design based on one of Indonesian traditional music instruments, called kolintang which is less and less popular in young generation. By combining robotic and traditional music instrument, extincttion of kolintang can be avoided. Kolintang Robot Player is hoped to be able to restore young generation’s interest in traditional music instrument. It can trigger young generation’s motivation to expand and conserve the kolintang.
